How To Customize Facebook Status Updated 'via' Trick
- Go to Facebook Developer.
- Click on Create New App button.
- Give a name for the app in the 'App Name' field which is the device you wish to update your status through & hit 'Continue'.
- Now in the new app basic details page, 'Disable' the 'Sandbox Mode' under Basic Info & hit 'Save Changes'. This is to make your app to go live on facebook.
- Now you have successfully created an app on facebook to update status via customized device.
Update Facebook Status 'via' Customized Device
- Copy the 'App ID' from the Basic Info tab of your app.
- Now copy the below code & paste it in your browser's address bar. Replace APP_ID with your 'App ID'.
https://www.facebook.com/dialog/feed?app_id=APP_ID&redirect_uri=http://www.facebook.com
- Type in the status update & hit 'Share'.
- This is how your status update would look like.
